I am very happy to announce that my piece "Gal Costa in the Night" from Memories of the Hudson, will have its Boston premiere on May 7th by good friends David Hurtado Gómez (cellist) and Serdar Çam (guitarist) during David's Master of Music Graduating Recital. As a young composer I don't often have the chance to hear an old piece performed more than once, especially a piece written at the very beginning of my composition studies. I am thrilled and honored that David and Serdar will give this old piece new life with their performance.
The concert will be held in the Edward M. Pickman Hall at the Longy School of Music of Bard College at 5 pm, on Tuesday, May 7th. The program will include music by Bach, Bruch, Haydn, Martinů, and myself. I hope to see you at the concert.

Between April 12 and April 16 I will be at my alma mater Davidson College with fellow classmate, collaborator, and Class of 2010 alumna, Caitlin McCarville. We are both very excited to return to Davidson College and share our music with our friends, former professors and mentors, and current students. The program on April 14 will include pieces by Benjamin Britten, Claude-Achille Debussy, Carl Friedrich Zelter, Clara Schumann, and Fanny Mendelssohn performed by Caitlin McCarville (soprano) and Michael Rowland (piano). Also, the concert will feature my song cycle Grace in the Wind performed by Caitlin McCarville, Michael Rowland, and Alan Black (principal cellist Charlotte Symphony). If you are near the Davidson area I hope to see you at the concert.
Many thanks to Amanda Preston and Winnie Newton at Davidson College for helping us publicize this concert and creating this stunning event poster.

Thanks to Yo Shionoya, Matthew Fontana, and Michael Meehan, I have a new recording of my wind trio Metropolitan Snapshots to share. I have submitted this piece to a few summer festivals and I am keeping my fingers crossed. Meanwhile, enjoy this great performance.

Following a very successful premiere of two of my latest works, Metropolitan Snapsnots and Grace in the Wind, I am very thankful and humbled to be able to work with such fine musicians and artists. After the New Years please expect new recordings of the works uploaded to my portfolio. In the meantime, I would like to share photos from the event.
